The Director
General of the Kenya Space Agency (KSA), Brigadier Hillary Kipkosgey has met
with the winning team from Strathmore University, which recently secured first
place in the 2025 Africa Regional Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court
Competition held in Pretoria, South Africa.

Brigadier
Kipkosgey congratulated the team on their continental achievement and extended
his best wishes as they prepare to represent Africa at the global finals of the
competition. The event is scheduled to take place during the 76th International
Astronautical Congress in Sydney, Australia, from 28 September to 3 October
2025.

Strathmore
University emerged victorious from the Kenya national rounds of the moot court
competition, hosted by the Kenya Space Agency on 21 March 2025, before
advancing to win the African regional title in May. The prestigious Manfred
Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition aims to promote the development of space
law and strengthen the rule of law in the peaceful exploration and use of outer
space.
