The Minister of
Digital Transition and Digitalization of Côte d'Ivoire, Kalil Konaté, has
commenced a series of high-level diplomatic engagements in Dubai to campaign
for the nation's candidate at the Universal Postal Union (UPU). The Minister
arrived on Monday, September 15, 2025, to lead the efforts in support of Mr.
Isaac Gnamba Yao's candidacy for the position of Deputy Director of the UPU
Bureau.
Minister Konaté
has held meetings with delegations from several UPU Member States to formally
solicit their support. These engagements included a discussion with the
Secretary General of the African Postal Union and a subsequent meeting with the
delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The Ivorian
delegation in Dubai includes Ambassador Diaby, the nation's representative to
the United Arab Emirates, and Ambassador Adjoumani. The mission has also
garnered significant support from several African executives and officials
within the postal and digital sectors, highlighting a coordinated Pan-African
effort.
This diplomatic
initiative underscores Côte d'Ivoire's commitment to securing a leadership role
within the global postal organization and reflects its active engagement in
international digital and postal governance.
