Morocco signs MoU with Mistral AI

The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in Charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Amal El Fallah – Seghrouchni has annnounced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Mistral AI, the European leader in artificial intelligence.

The signing ceremony, which included Mistral AI's co-founder and CEO Arthur Mensch, was attended by key government and industry leaders. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade; Mr. Omar Seghrouchni, President of the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP); Mrs. Nezha Hayat, Director General of the Mohammed VI Fund for Investment (FM6I); and Mr. Khalid SAFIR, Director General of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG).

The strategic partnership also garnered support from leaders of national professional associations, including AUSIM and APEBI, representatives of the CGEM, the private sector, and directors from various public and ministerial sectors.

This collaboration marks a pivotal step in Morocco's digital advancement, driven by an ambitious royal vision and major structural reforms. The agreement with a global technology leader underscores the Kingdom's commitment to accelerating its digital transition and solidifying its role as a regional technological hub.

The partnership aims to position artificial intelligence as a central driver of sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
