MTN Group has
announced the official launch of the Pan-African Media Innovation Programme
(MIP), scaling a highly successful initiative originally pioneered by MTN
Nigeria into a expansive, continent-wide platform. The programme unites media
professionals, governments, and business leaders from across MTN's markets.

Over the next
12 weeks, selected fellows from across the continent will undertake a certified
academic and industry journey hosted by the University of Johannesburg. The
programme is delivered in a strategic partnership with The African Editors
Forum.
The
comprehensive curriculum is designed to equip a new generation of media
professionals with advanced skills and insights. It will combine lecture room
engagements, industry masterclasses, and practical innovation challenges, all
focused on empowering African storytellers to own their narratives and shape
the continent's discourse.

The launch
event was attended by dignitaries from South Africa, Nigeria, and beyond,
alongside the inaugural cohort of fellows and key programme partners. The
Pan-African MIP represents a significant investment by MTN in strengthening the
media landscape and harnessing the power of the African story.
