ATU and ANSUT sign partnership agreement to advance universal connectivity

The African Telecommunications Union (ATU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Agency for Universal Telecommunications Service (ANSUT) to strengthen collaborative efforts aimed at expanding universal access to connectivity across the continent. The agreement signals a shared commitment to bridging the digital divide and ensuring meaningful connectivity reaches underserved communities.

The partnership builds on a foundation of aligned priorities between the two organizations, with a focus on supporting member states in implementing practical and scalable interventions. The collaboration will prioritize the development of inclusive, affordable, and sustainable digital infrastructure to drive socio-economic progress and digital inclusion.

Through this MoU, ATU and ANSUT aim to enhance their cooperation in designing and executing initiatives that promote universal access, particularly in marginalized areas. The agreement underscores the urgency of addressing connectivity gaps and reinforces both organizations’ dedication to leveraging telecommunications as a catalyst for equitable development and innovation in Africa.
