The Minister of
Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani has led a
high-level delegation to Denmark for a series of bilateral engagements. The
visit, supported by Denmark in Nigeria and the BESTSELLER FOUNDATION, focused
on learning from Denmark’s pioneering digital transformation models and
exploring partnerships to strengthen Nigeria’s technological capabilities.

During the
visit, the Nigerian delegation engaged with leading Danish innovators and
companies, including Cbrain, e-Boks, Sternula, Nordic e-SIM, KarlFarms, and
NetCompany. Discussions covered a wide range of sectors, including public
sector digitization, satellite communication, digital postal services,
agricultural technology, and telecommunications infrastructure.
These
conversations highlighted significant opportunities for collaboration in areas
such as interoperability, trust economy frameworks, and the adoption of
emerging technologies.
The Minister
expressed particular appreciation to Jette Bjerrum, Consulate General, and Sara
Ibru, Commercial Deputy Head at the Embassy of Denmark to Nigeria, as well as
Anders Boelskifte Mogensen and Tine Fisker Henriksen of the Bestseller
Foundation, for facilitating productive dialogues with both government and
private sector stakeholders. The visit also explored potential collaborations
on talent exchange with Copenhagen Capacity and partnerships involving data
parks and Project BRIDGE.

Dr. Tijani noted
that the engagements underscored the power of international cooperation in
driving shared prosperity through innovation and digital transformation. The
insights gained from Denmark’s data-driven governance and advanced digital
infrastructure are expected to inform new programs aimed at delivering tangible
value to Nigerians and reinforcing Nigeria’s position as a leading voice in the
global technology landscape.
