The AI Summer
School 2025 has officially commenced at the National Institute of Posts and
Telecommunications (INPT) in Rabat, marking a significant step toward
strengthening artificial intelligence expertise and innovation in Morocco and
the wider region.
The opening
ceremony, moderated by Dr. Imane Khaouja, General Secretary of MoroccoAI,
brought together leading academic and industry figures. Speakers included Prof.
Ahmed Tamtaoui, Director of INPT; Prof. Mohamed Daoudi of IMT Nord Europe; Mr.
Benhamou Jamal, CEO of Soft Centre; and Prof. Mohammed Khalil, President of
MoroccoAI.

Co-organized by
INPT Rabat, IMT Nord Europe, and Soft Centre, this year’s program is designed
to provide participants with access to world-class researchers, encourage
collaborative projects, and inspire a new generation of AI professionals. The
initiative underscores Morocco’s growing commitment to positioning itself as a
hub for technological education and innovation in Africa.
The event also
acknowledged the support of key sponsors, including Google and the Association
for Computing Machinery (ACM), whose contributions are helping to shape an
inclusive and forward-looking AI ecosystem.

The AI Summer
School aims to cultivate high-level skills and international partnerships that
will drive progress in artificial intelligence and its applications across
sectors.
