The Ministry
Delegate in Charge of the Digital Economy and Innovation (MDENI) has taken a
significant step toward advancing its national digital agenda through a
high-level meeting with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. Minister
Mariam Hamadou Ali received a delegation led by the Institute’s Deputy
Director-General and Regional Director to discuss strategic cooperation and
innovative digital initiatives aligned with Djibouti’s #SmartNation2035 vision.

The meeting
focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration that support the
realization of a digitally transformed Djibouti, in line with the vision of His
Excellency the President of the Republic. Discussions emphasized the potential
for implementing cutting-edge digital solutions that drive economic growth,
enhance public services, and foster innovation.
Minister Ali
reaffirmed the government’s commitment to building fruitful and sustainable
partnerships that position Djibouti as a regional reference point for digital
innovation and technological progress. The engagement with the Tony Blair
Institute marks a proactive effort to leverage international expertise and
resources in support of the country’s ambitious #SmartNation2035 goals,
contributing to the dynamic development of Djibouti’s digital economy.
