significant step toward advancing Africa's digital economy, MTN's fintech
platform MoMo hosted His Excellency Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the
African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), at the MTN Fintech Summit 2025.
The high-level engagement focused on strategic partnership opportunities
between AfCFTA and MTN Fintech to enhance financial inclusion and economic
integration across the continent.
The event
featured MTN's senior leadership, including Group Chairman Herman Bosman, Group
Fintech CEO Serigne Dioum, Chief Sustainability & Corporate Affairs Officer
Nompilo Morafo, and Group Legal Officer Nikiwe Tanga. The discussions centered
on collaborative efforts to lower cross-border payment costs, empower small and

Africa's youth.
A key highlight

moderated by Komba Malukutila, addressing the theme "Leading Through
Disruption: Regulation, Innovation, and Financial Inclusion." The

unlocking Africa's economic potential.
