The
African Telecommunications Union (ATU) has kicked off its 25th Administrative
Council session in Kinshasa, with Her Excellency Prime Minister Judith Suminwa
Tuluka officiating the inauguration ceremony. The event brought together key
stakeholders in the telecommunications industry, with ATU Secretary General
John Omo in attendance.
In
her remarks, Prime Minister Tuluka stressed the importance of regional
integration and partnerships in building a digitally inclusive Africa. She
emphasized the need for collaboration to drive the continent's digital
transformation and promote economic growth.

The
ATU Administrative Council is responsible for directing, controlling, and
coordinating the financial, technical, administrative, and other activities of
the Union. Over the next few days, the Council will deliberate on key issues
shaping the telecommunications landscape in Africa, including digital
infrastructure development, spectrum management, and cybersecurity.
The
session provides a platform for member states to share experiences, best
practices, and ideas on how to harness telecommunications to achieve the
continent's development goals. The outcomes of the meeting are expected to
shape the direction of the telecommunications sector in Africa, promoting
innovation, investment, and growth.
The
