MTN Benin's Chief Executive Officer, Uche Ofodile, has welcomed
Benin's Minister of Digital Economy and Communications, Aurelie Illimatou Adam
Soule, and her delegation to an exhibition showcasing the potential of 5G
technology.
The exhibition which marks a prelude to MTN Benin's
ambitious plans to deploy 5G services in the country this year also highlighted
the transformative power of 5G technology and its potential to revolutionize
the digital landscape in the country.
During her strategic visit, Minister Aurelie Illimatou Adam
Soule and her delegation were given firsthand insights into the capabilities of
5G technology and its role in MTN's vision to bring the benefits of a modern
and connected world to all corners of Benin.

According to a LinkedIn post by MTN Benin, discussions
centred around the performance metrics of 5G, including enhanced transmission
speed, reduced latency, and increased capacity. Of particular emphasis were the
potential applications of 5G in critical sectors such as education and
healthcare, promising advancements that could significantly impact the quality
of services offered in these domains.

Uche Ofodile, in collaboration with Minister Adam Soule,
aims to ensure that the deployment of 5G services aligns with the broader goals
of fostering technological innovation and improving the overall quality of life
for the people of Benin.
